The Resident Symphony Orchestra of the City of Anaheim

LETTER NOTES

Letter to Friends & Supporters

July, 2015

To Friends and Supporters,

We are delighted to showcase the debut of the Orange County Symphonic Pops Ensemble along with a Gourmet Culinary Delights and Wine Reception. We will also present a Silent Auction as well as featuring American Favorites from stage and screen. The concert will include music from John Williams. Gershwin on Broadway and Elton John. From Disneyland favorites to the incredible stage music of Porgy and Bess. The OCSymphonic Pops is very pleased to feature Sarah Wallin-Huff performing music from Shindler's List.

We offer you the opportunity to celebrate the inaugural concert of this exciting new addition to our OC Symphonic Family under the direction of Pollyanna Gorman, an accomplished Wind Band and Orchestral conductor and one of the few female conductors in the Orange County Area.

Net proceeds of this benefit evening enable OCS to continue to bring a 9 concert season to residents of Anaheim and the greater Orange County community, as well as to support our ability to offer a free admission to groups such as the Blind Veterans of America, Teen Challenge, OC Family Justice Center and especially to our students in the Anaheim City Elementary School District (ACSD). We are bringing untold new awareness and opportunities to places where classical music is becoming a household experience. Not only are we building audiences for the future, we are engaging minds and lives with the magic of music education on an everyday basis. Attendance at OCS concerts throughout the season is offered free to ACSD students and their families as part of the classroom curriculum.

The continued strength and growth of the Orange County Symphonies depends on participation and support from caring community members who take pride in maintaining our cultural abundance and music education.

Your attendance is critically needed to help make possible the gift of music magic available to all. Thank you for being part of our team.

Rich Blessings,

Dorothy A. Rose, Executive Director
